Meet the Team
Dr Taylor Pope BDS (Liverpool 2002) BSc (Hons) (Leeds 1996). GDC number: 80895
Taylor qualified from The University of Leeds in 1996 with a Degree in Human Anatomy and from The University of Liverpool with his dental degree in 2002, he has since gained a wealth of experience in the dental field - both in the NHS and Private sector nationwide.
As well as being the Director of Newton Dental Practice, Taylor also has an NHS/Private practice on the Wirral and Chester. He is an Educational Supervisor for Health Education North West - entailing training and mentoring newly qualified dental professionals. Taylor also has certification in Clinical Research from the National Institute for Health Research, is a clinical lead for NHS England for Peer Reviews, a member of the Primary Care Group Manged Clinical Network for the NHS and is currently working towards a Diploma in Postgraduate Clinical Education.
He is a registered practitioner for Zoom! whitening.
He has a special interest in non-surgical facial aesthetics and has been trained to an advanced level. As Medical Director of Advanced Facial Aesthetics Ltd, Taylor has trained with the famous Dr Bob Khanna (Ten Years Younger). His wealth of experience in the cosmetic industry includes treating Premier League footballers, actresses and models, as well as being Clinical Lead at several large cosmetic establishments.
His treatments include softening of lines and wrinkles, treatment for excessive sweating, migraine treatments, treatments for teeth grinding, dermal fillers, lip enhancement, chemical peels and Dermaroller.
Taylor has been interviewed on both television and radio with regard to his Facial Aesthetics expertise, as well as contributing to several large Press releases in this ever expanding cosmetic industry.
He lives on the Wirral with his wife and nine young children and enjoys spending time with his family.
Erin joined Newton Dental in 2013 as a trainee Dental Nurse and completed her NVQ Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing in 2015. She took on the role of Head Nurse and infection control lead in 2018, and then progressed further in 2019 to the role of Practice Manager.
Erin is in charge of the day-to-day running of the practice, clinical and information governance, CQC compliance requirements, auditing and staffing. She is an enthusiastic and empathetic manager who is passionate about improving and enhancing the practice for patients and staff wherever possible.
Erin is currently working towards her Level 4 Management Qualification. She has also completed her training in facial aesthetics and is qualified to provide anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP).
Erin enjoys fitness, hiking and music.
Dr Kranthi K.Nasani (Associate Dental Surgeon)

Dr. Kranthi Kumar Nasani,(KK.) graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India in 2002. After completing his Rotatory Internship in the College of Dental Sciences and Hospital he gained a wide range of experience in General Dental Practice with a special interest in Surgical Dentistry and Endodontics.
He registered with the GDC in 2008 inspired by the modern yet conservative and preventive way of practicing dentistry in the UK. KK joined Newton Dental in September 2008 and continued his training gaining an MSc in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry from Manchester University and a Certificate in Implantology from Salford University.
KK is particularly focused in the specialised area of Dental Implantology and is establishing this as his main area of practice in our fully equipped, purpose build implant studio. He takes real pride and personal satisfaction in delivering the highest standards of treatment to his patients and always strives to provide excellent care and a fantastic dental experience.
KK also has certification in provision of conscious sedation.
KK likes to socialise, travelling within the UK and abroad and keeping fit.
Dr Venkatesh Ankam BDS (India 2004), PG Dip Endodontics GDC: 176418
Venkatesh joined the practice in July 2012 having previously worked at a dental practice in Warrington.
He completed his Dental Internship from Rajiv Gandhi University, India in the year 2004-05 and achieved his UK GDC registration in the year 2009.
He has worked as a General Dental Practitioner in the NHS for the past 3 years. He has a special interest in Endodontics and is pursuing a Masters Degree in this discipline and he has currently finished his P.G certificate program in this subject. He has also completed Part 1 of the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties.
Venkat believes that to be a good dentist, understanding the patient`s needs and providing them with quality and ethical treatment is essential.
He enjoys most outdoor sports and activities. He likes adventure sports as well.
Dr Matt Jones BDS (Liverpool 2018) GDC: 277168
Matt qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2018. He since worked on the Wirral before starting work at Newton Dental in September 2019.
Matt has an interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He completed a composite course in Europe August 2018 and enjoys providing all sorts of composite bonding or veneers.
Matt completed Invisalign training in November 2018. This is a way to move and reposition teeth to provide better function and aesthetics to the smile. He is able to take digital scans of your teeth and customise your smile to exactly how you want it whilst ensuring correct bite and function is maintained.
His favorite treatment is the ‘ABC’ protocol. This involves aligning the teeth, whitening them and then using composite to add the finishing touches for a complete smile makeover to give patients their dream smile!
Matt is beginning a post-graduate certification in Cosmetic Dentistry & Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in 2020.
Matt is an avid Man United fan, enjoys playing golf and enjoys holidaying all over the world.
Dr Giju George MBBS, MD FCARCSI. Consultant Anaesthetist. GMC: 6038076
Giju is our consultant medical anaesthetist with a special interested in dental anaesthesia. He works in the dental hospitals in Liverpool providing intravenous sedation and general anaesthesia for a range of dental procedures. We are very fortunate to have his expertise in providing our intravenous sedation in a controlled, safe environment. Giju is also a council member of the Association of Dental Anaesthetist. He lives with his young family on the Wirral.
Dr Richard Brookshaw BDS MMedSci (Oral Surgery) Dip Imp Dent RCS Ed. Implant Surgeon. GDC: 72150
He first qualified in 1996 from the University of Dundee. Then in 1999, he gained his Masters degree in Oral Surgery from the University of Sheffield, and further extended his clinical qualification in 2001 by completing an 18-month implant training program. In 2009, he attained the highest honors award in the 1-year implant master program from the University of California Los Angeles/ gIDE program.
In 2009, he was one of the first five implant dentists in the country to be awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College
of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Dip Imp Dent RCS Ed).
Richard is both nationally and internationally respected as a lecturer and mentor in all aspects of Implant Dentistry. He lectures for Nobel
Biocare nationally and internationally on a range of advanced implant techniques, and is a regular lecturer and contributor at the Nobel
Biocare international conferences.
He is one of only a handful of implant surgeons nationwide who is able to carry out implant surgery in patients with extreme bone loss, using specially designed zygomatic implants.
Richard exclusively practices all aspects of implant dentistry, including hard and soft tissue augmentation, sinus grafting and same day implants.
Ceri Cameron GDC: 185345
Ceri has over 17 years experience in the dental field having qualified at the University of Liverpool in 2009 as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. She has worked over this time in the NHS, Private and Hospital sector gaining a wealth of experience. Ceri regularly attends courses to enhance her continual professional development and ensure her knowledge and treatments are always at the forefront of dentistry.
As well as being able to provide restorative treatment Ceri is committed to providing patient specific preventative and educational services, ensuring patients know the best way to improve and maintain good oral health.
Ceri keeps fit with horse riding and walking. She has a keen interest in photography and loves spending time with her 2 children.
Rebecca Bebbington GDC: 6443
Rebecca studied Dental Hygiene at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and qualified in 2004. Since then she has worked in both NHS, private and hospital settings and joined our team at Newton Dental Practice in 2010.
Rebecca enjoys working together with her patients to help improve and maintain good oral health. She finds it rewarding seeing patients respond to treatment and advice they have been given. Rebecca is especially good at treating anxious patients, gradually building up patients confidence and trust. She regularly attends courses to ensure she can offer the latest techniques and treatments to her patients and has a keen interest in promoting implant oral health.
Rebecca is also available for appointments on Saturday mornings.
